Sainsbury's customer William Chapman is quite entitled to look a bit smug, as he is now free of the treacherous world of mortgages, thanks to Bird's Eye.

Chapman was the September winner of Bird's Eye's Be Mortgage Free promotion which is running across all its most popular brands. (He is pictured below with deputy store manager Paul Mitchell.)

Chapman bought his lucky Birds Eye Potato Waffles from the Sainsbury's store in Wade Street, Halifax.

The promotion is "one of the biggest ever" in the frozen aisle, said Bird's Eye. It offers shoppers the chance to have their mortgage paid off each month.
