Shout about green plans, urges Wrap

A representative of the government's waste reduction programme told a seminar at the recent Convenience Retail Show it was imperative to let customers know about green improvements being made to packaging.
Charlotte Green, retail innovation manager at the Wrap said more companies were using information on waste reduction to sell produce. However, she added it was important to let people know the benefits.
Tesco and Asda were credited for their communications, in particular Asda's first green newsletter for customers. Henderson added that the grocery sector "needed a working group across the industry".
