Morrisons is named king of availability

Morrisons has been named the top chain for availability over the past year.
Martyn Jones, senior trading director at the multiple picked up the award at the Grocer Gold Awards, held in London recently. It was based on the annual results of the Grocer 33 mystery shopper survey. Morrisons also won the customer service award for the third year running.
Other awards handed out included Grocer of the Year (won by Sainsbury's for its successful recovery plan and own-label performance), and Grocer 33 - Price (Asda). Tesco was again named Britain's Favourite Supermarket, based on Homescan's Attitudes to Retailers survey.
